About Cait

WHO I AM

I love my work but I truly value living a rich and fulfilling life. That means spending quality time with my family, friends, and pets. I may be slow to get a joke but I always love a good laugh. I am an ice cream enthusiast but balance it out with running half marathons. I grew up in the same home my father was raised in and I have a huge sentimental heart (though I hate clutter so everything is neatly organized in drawers and closets). I use way to many exclamation points in my emails and on social media. I have a formal education in general health and nutrition studies but when I was finishing my degree I longed for more creativity and decided to pursue my love for photography!

Crafting Joyful & Romantic Images

I have always lived a life of creating. In my free time I write music, I play guitar and ukulele, I paint and draw, I design guides for clients but I love the artistic process, and I am always picking up new crafts that inspire me. All of which is why I think was so drawn to photography, weddings in particular. I spent my whole life in front of cameras as my parents loved to document mine and my sisters lives. We have so many photo albums and old VCR tapes of birthdays, vacations, and lazy summer afternoons. So picking up the camera throughout my childhood and into my teens was a natural progression. I would photograph everything and anything as a kid but as I got older I would do photoshoots for my friends (I even took their graduation photos, don't ask to see them because they are terrible!).

July 21, 2019 I purchased my first big girl camera and swore I wouldn't photograph weddings because of the stress. However, two months later I assisted a private Newport estate wedding with a New Orleans band that led the party to the intricately decorated tent and I was HOOKED. Two months later I photographed my first wedding and ever since my love for weddings has grown. Weddings are a huge creative outlet for me from the little details, to the fashion, to the overall big moments.
