The Ridge Club Wedding - Camila & John
Hi, I'm Cait! The person behind the lens, capturing all the little details throughout the day. I started my business in 2019 but I've loved photography since a young age. I grew up with my parents taking photos and videos of my entire childhood. My family will pull out the countless family photo album on holidays and reminisce on our family vacations, cherish the photos with my nana and grandpa, and laugh at the good times we've had as my sister and I grew up. From these photos I've grown to love and value photography for the priceless gift of freezing moments in time so I can look back on them.
That is what I hope to capture for my couples. Their memories and moments in time that would otherwise be lost. It's something I am incredibly passionate about and what I love most about my work. I am able to witness so much love between couples and their closest
It's such an honor to watch two people get married, to see parents tear up during the ceremony, and to watch friends speak so lovingly about the happy couple. To be around that much love and joy is my biggest inspiration. To capture those memories that couples will frame, put in a photo album, and share with their loved ones is an incredible honor.
I love that each wedding is unique. Couples don't stick to every tradition or create their own nowadays. It inspires me to stay creative and really get to know my couples so I can capture their day in the same unique light. I can only capture weddings from my perspective so getting to know my couples helps me learn what they envision for their wedding day.
Wedding days consist of micro and macro details. From your rings to the venue or from a shot of your grandmother watching the ceremony to a wide shot of your ceremony. One of my favorite creative avenues is by closing in on the details. Anyone can capture the bigger picture but being able to authentically capture those small moments is one of my favorite things to shoot creatively.
I specialize in romantic and iconic weddings in the Northeast of the United States, though I do travel throughout the States. Couples who work with me love true to color fine art photography. Photography that makes you feel the emotions from your wedding day years later. Polished images with a candid and relaxed look.
I consider my style of shooting as polished and photojournalistic. That means I'll move trash from the background of your getting ready photos, place you in better lighting before you get into your dress, gently direct you during formal photos so you look amazing, etc. I try to be a fly on the wall to capture those special moments but I also want to make sure I capture you in your best light.
My editing style is inspired by films texture and life's vivid colors. I want my couples to look back on their wedding photos and see the true colors of the flowers, see the pink sunset over the ocean, and feel the warm richness of their day. Its important to the couples I work with that they are captured in the most flattering light and can vividly remember their day in true to life color.
